The Spires Powder Days

Just when you thought January was great, then comes February. The cold temperatures lasted throughout the month and we never got above freezing in the village. This meant there were a few days where you really had to bundle up, but it was worth it. This also meant that when it snowed the conditions were as good as anywhere out West. Check out our photo gallery to see some powder face shots.  Now that spring is around the corner and the days are getting longer, it is time to think about some spring skiing!

Schweitzer has lots of events planned this month. From SARS races and the Stomp Games to 2400 ft of Schweitzer. No matter what your pleasure is there will be music, food and fun to be had on the mountain. To make it even better, Schweitzer is offering their $99 ski pass for the remainder of the year. This is an awesome deal as we still have some great snow to play on and the best part is that the $99 will be applied to next year’s season pass.

On the Backside: We would also like to give a special shout out to the Selkirk Powder team for hosting their inaugural women’s only cat skiing adventure on March 23rd. This event is limited to 10 spots only so get signed up soon. If you have not tried cat skiing on the backside, we strongly recommend it.
