Spires Snow Cat with Schweitzer Mountain

We got almost 16” snow in the last 48 hours. This allowed us to groom all of The Spires trails today. The weather forecast is looking like we’re going to be getting more precipitation over the next 3 days. Vern, Petey and Joy have been working hard on the equipment, blowing snow off the roads and grooming the trails. We plan to open the groomed trails throughout The Spires by Christmas Day.

Schweitzer Mountain Resort will be having all sorts of holiday fun happening and ski deals to be had. From skiing with Santa, campfires in the village, balloon parade featuring Mr. and MRS. Claus from midway to the base and of course twilight skiing is here. If you’re looking for a ski deal Schweitzer is offering a 3-day ski pass with no Blackout dates to be used for the entire 2019/2020 season. However, you have to get them before Dec. 24th. There will also be awesome live music and great food. So, don’t miss out on the fun.

Looking for a bit more excitement on the mountain? Let’s not forget about our friends on the backside. Selkirk Snowcat Skiing offers some extreme fun in some of the best powdery snow on the mountain.

They offer full-service snow cat skiing tours. These are 3-6 day ski packages for the ski fanatic that loves powder. The slots are filling fast so to get in on this great adventure this year, you best book it now. You can find out more by visiting Selkirk Snowcat Skiing.

The sales of lots at The Spires have been brisk the past year and we currently have five houses under construction. Due to the extra construction, we advise that you take extra caution when skiing through the Spires this year. Please stay on the trails and follow directions on the posted signs. Most of the hazards have been marked, but there’s always new ones to be found. Remember you ski the Spires terrain at your own risk. So, be careful and keep your eyes open.

We hope to see you up on the mountain and taking a run through The Spires. If you find an interest to inquire about a lot while taking a run through The Spires. Feel free to contact us to set up a brief tour.
