The Winter Season Begins

Getting the Roads Ready for 2017/2018 Season

We are loving the changing scenery and excited for Schweitzer Mountain Resort’s opening day on December 1st. We received over 15” inches of snow this weekend with a total of 34” inches for the year so far. After a brief break this Monday and Tuesday. It looks like more will be on the way shortly.

We have all the machines ready and have been busy plowing the roads and prepping the spires backcountry runs. Along with Schweitzer Mountain Resort’s 2900 acres of lift-accessible, in-bounds terrain. The Spires is surrounded by spectacular views, a private community, and adds an aditional 50 acres and 500 vertical feet of on-site private skiing, with ski-in/ski-out access points at multiple elevations. You will not want to miss out on this year’s season.

Schweitzer Mountain Resort already has their snow machines running and is anticipating an epic season. All this snow is a happy reminder to check all your ski gear and get ready for the upcoming season. If you are looking for some new gear or looking to trade up be sure to visit the Schweitzer Alpine Racing School (SARS) Ski Swap on November 11th at the Bonner County Fairgrounds.
